Weather in this valley is very particular and never more so than in an Autumnal southerly. All the forecasts gave a strong southerly wind and stuborn stability.
The Window Cam denied this and by lunchtime a light valley wind had set up. So up to launch -

Light wind up the front and signs of thermal activity over at les Dents du Lanfon. So go fly. There’s a little lift for half an hour or so then a beautifull fly home -
